We are, therefore, delighted to announce the promotion of James Cook to Head of Commercial, a move that underscores our commitment to nurturing talent and rewarding hard work within our team.
James’s journey at Premier began over eight years ago when he joined as an Assistant Procurement Manager. His aptitude for detail and project management quickly set him apart, and in 2018, he transitioned into the Commercial Team as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. Over the years, James has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence, consistently delivering results and earning the respect of his colleagues and clients alike.
On November 1, 2024, James assumed his new role as Head of Commercial, where he will lead a growing team during an exciting period of expansion for the business. His promotion is a testament to the career progression opportunities available at Premier and the value we place on developing talent from within.

As part of our ongoing expansion and diversification – particularly with our entry into the rail infrastructure sector – Premier is launching a recruitment drive to bring fresh talent into the business. We are currently looking to fill 10 new roles, including:
