As we continue to grow and expand our project portfolio across the UK, we’re pleased to announce the creation of a new role within Premier Forecourts and Construction – Pre-Construction Co-ordinator – reinforcing our commitment to strong planning, collaboration and delivery from the very earliest stages of our projects.
The role has been filled by Osian, who joins us with a solid technical and project management background, bringing valuable experience from the industrial, civil and construction sectors.
Supporting our growth through smarter pre-construction
The introduction of the Pre-Construction Co-ordinator role reflects our continued growth and our focus on delivering well-planned, efficient and commercially robust projects for our clients. By expanding our pre-construction team, we’re strengthening the support we provide to our construction operations through improved planning, design coordination, cost control and stakeholder engagement from concept through to site handover.
Osian works closely with our Pre-Construction Manager and Operations Director, coordinating all elements of our pre-construction milestones and helping to ensure a smooth and seamless transition into the construction phase.
Based predominantly at our Swansea office, the role also involves travel across the UK to support our projects on site as required.
A strong technical and project management background
Osian brings over seven years’ experience from Tata Steel Port Talbot, where he worked within the Pre-Engineering team. He began his career as a higher apprentice, progressing into an engineering role and gaining hands-on experience in design, infrastructure development and project coordination within a complex industrial environment.
Alongside his professional experience, Osian has continued to invest in his education. He is currently studying Project Management at the University of South Wales, working towards a Bachelor’s degree, and holds a Higher National Diploma in Engineering from Grŵp Colegau NPTC Group of Colleges, as well as a HNC in Civil Engineering and an NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Construction Site Supervision.
This blend of practical experience and academic study makes Osian a strong addition to our growing team.
In his new position, Osian is responsible for coordinating all activities during the pre-construction phase of our projects, ensuring design intent, client requirements and commercial objectives are fully aligned before work begins on site.
His role includes contributing to pre-construction planning and management, developing detailed programmes, coordinating feasibility studies and site investigations, and supporting full project set-up. He plays a key part in design coordination, working collaboratively with our internal teams, architects, engineers and consultants to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective and aligned with our construction methods.
Working alongside our estimating team, Osian helps develop and validate cost plans, monitor budget adherence and manage cost risk throughout the pre-construction phase. He also acts as a key point of contact for our clients during pre-construction, providing clear communication, progress updates and programme milestones.
In addition, Osian contributes to procurement strategies, tender preparation and subcontractor engagement, supporting contract negotiation and ensuring thorough documentation for a seamless handover to our construction team.
