We’d like to congratulate everyone here at Premier Forecourts and Construction who took part in the 25 in 25 challenge to raise money for the mental health and wellbeing charity, Mates in Mind. We’re proud to say we raised a very healthy £500!
The challenge was to do 25 press ups a day for 25 days, and to raise the funds we gathered staff donations over the 25-day duration, along with a company donation of £25 for every employee who took part.
Team members Chris Kerkin, Mike Knight and Hefin Jones managed to complete the challenge for the full 25 days and provided a video every day to prove it, from wherever they were in the UK at the time.
Mates in Mind is a charity which provides clear information to employers within the construction industry on available support and guidance on mental health, mental illness and mental wellbeing, as well as advice on how they can address this within their organisations.
Their mission is to raise awareness and understanding of mental health and mental ill-health, and help people to understand how, when and where to get support. They also work to break the silence and stigma surrounding mental health, through promoting cultures of positive wellbeing throughout the construction industry.
Mates in Mind has an ambitious goal – to reach 100,000 workers every year, and by 2025, they aim to have reached 75% of the construction industry. We’re very glad to be able to go some small way to help them achieve this worthy goal with our £500 donation.
So, once again, a big well done and thank you to everyone who took part and those who made donations, particularly Chris, Mike and Hefin for persevering and completing the challenge! We hope your arms and shoulders aren’t too sore!
