We are thrilled to celebrate an important milestone for our colleague Iesha Llewellyn, who is marking her 5th anniversary at Premier Forecourts and Construction. Iesha’s unwavering commitment and valuable contributions have been an integral part of our success, making her an invaluable member of our team.
Iesha’s journey with Premier Forecourts and Construction began in March 2018 when she joined us as a temporary employee on a 3-month contract. Recognising her dedication and talent, we offered Iesha a permanent position at the end the 3-months, in June 2018.
Over the years, Iesha’s role within the company has evolved, and she currently serves as the Project and Sustainability Coordinator. In this crucial position, she lends her expertise to the contracts department and is also assisting with the Environmental ISO accreditation. Iesha’s versatility and willingness to take on various responsibilities have been instrumental in the growth and success of our projects.
Before joining Premier Forecourts and Construction, Iesha embarked on a diverse professional journey. Following her time in sixth form, she pursued an apprenticeship with Welsh Water, where she worked as a customer service engineer, handling face-to-face complaints. Iesha’s diverse experiences, ranging from working as a chef to assisting with boat parasailing, have shaped her professional growth and provided her with a unique perspective in her role at Premier Forecourts and Construction.
When asked about her favourite aspect of her job, Iesha emphasised the strong sense of camaraderie and family within the company. She appreciates that at Premier Forecourts and Construction, employees are not just seen as numbers but as valued individuals. The passion and dedication displayed by her colleagues inspire Iesha every day, creating a positive and motivating work environment.
Iesha’s achievements and contributions throughout her time with us are plentiful. She takes great pride in her involvement in the de-carbonisation pilot, where she worked on creating a plan for Premier Forecourts and Construction to achieve the ambitious goal of net zero by 2050. Additionally, Iesha played a significant role in the Shell Bemerton project, specifically in the section 50 application for road closure for offsite water drainage connections. Her commitment and attention to detail were vital to the successful completion of the project.
One of the most memorable moments during Iesha’s tenure with us to date was the team’s recent endeavour to climb Pen Y Fan for Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice. Together, the team raised an impressive £940, showcasing their spirit and dedication to making a positive impact in the community.
When asked if she would recommend this profession, Iesha enthusiastically responds with a “Yes!” She finds the construction industry fascinating and appreciates the numerous avenues that can be explored within it. Whether working in the office or on-site, Iesha believes the construction industry offers an exciting and diverse range of opportunities.
